Photos of those 2 inch obsidian plugs I created over the past few weeks. Obsidian is soft in comparison to agate or jasper making it easy to shape, however it can be tricky to remove scratches and polish. I ended up using a cerium and tin oxides on carpet and felt buffing pads to produce my final results. Two popular methods for polishing obsidian. There are some other techniques out there that I would like to try for comparison sake in the future.
Ive been pretty stressed lately working 7 day weeks for the past 2 months and right through the last 3 holidays. Working 6 days a week at the new job and every Sunday to work on my orders. I will be running behind on my remaining custom orders, but will do my best to get them out asap. I apologize for any delays. Questions or concerns feel free to reach me by email.
